It is also home to a number of top-ranked schools and universities, making it a great place to raise a family. A wide range of industries, including tourism, fishing, forestry, and manufacturing provide plenty of job opportunities.
Whether you’re looking to raise a family, start a business, or simply enjoy all that the state has to offer, Maine is a great place to call home.
County: AROOSTOOK
Aroostook County, Maine, is the largest county in any state east of the Mississippi, larger than the states of Rhode Island and Connecticut combined. No wonder Mainers refer to it simply as “The County.”
Aroostook’s other nickname is “The Crown of Maine” as it sits atop the rest of the state and its natural beauty shines and sparkles like nowhere else.
From friendly local folks to sumptuous restaurants, shopping destinations, and breathtaking outdoor amenities, it is a peaceful borderland where time passes slower, refreshing evening breezes linger longer, and sunsets sizzle for endless stretches.
Aroostook County is a place for rejuvenating and reconnecting with life’s simple pleasures.
