County: BENT
Bent County, in southeastern Colorado, is a rural area centered around its county seat, Las Animas, along the Arkansas River.
Rich in history, it was once part of the Santa Fe Trail and is home to Bent’s Old Fort National Historic Site, a reconstructed 19th-century trading post.
Today, the county’s economy relies on agriculture, especially cattle ranching and farming, while its historic landmarks and open landscapes draw visitors to experience its frontier heritage.
